Abstract

Rose is the common name for perennial shrub or climber flowering plants of the genus Rosa, family Rosaceae, with more than 100 species of various flower colours, distributed from temperate to tropical regions. These species are so famous for their beautiful flowers that they are often called roses. Most are native to Asia, with a few remaining in Europe, North America and north-west Africa. Native species, cultivars and hybrids are all grown for ornamental, aromatic and gift purposes.
